Cirque Du Soleil Trip 3/24
Cirque Du Soleil is not only performing at the University of Illinois but the fact that CAB is providing the service to transport University of Iowa students to experience the show is amazing!
I was able to catch Cirque Du Soleil in Las Vegas last year and can't wait to see the acrobats infused with colors and emotions to create an amazing show!!
Plus tickets are only $35 INCLUDING TRANSPORTATION! That's incredible considering I paid $100 last time just for the show. Quidam, here I come and for the rest of you don't miss out!

Movie: Toy Story 3
I think it’s fair to say that anybody that was born between 1990 and 1949 feels like the Toy Story trilogy is a story of their own childhood.
I watched the movie for the first time the summer before I left for college and it was weird how well the third movie matched up with my life.
Honestly how can you not love a story about a boy parting from his childhood toys before he goes to college…don’t lie I know you all have at least one toy that still sits somewhere in your room. Unfortunately Andy’s favorite toys get accidently donated to the day care center, where they desperately try and escape in order to make sure they get to say goodbye before Andy leaves.
The point is, if you wanna relive your childhood and pretend that you toys were that awesome make sure you come see Toy Story 3 this Thursday February 2nd or Saturday February 4th at the Illinois room in the IMU at 10 pm for only $2!!

Movie: 50/50 by Jared Cohen
Too rarely do recent movies exhibit a certain humanness or sensitivity. 50/50 has both. My first time seeing this film I was expecting it to be a comedy, having only seen one trailer and not heard anything else about it. However, it gives the viewers a sense of reality on how life can change in an instance. Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Adam) plays a character that is a "regular" guy, mid 20's, who is living with his girlfriend with their own home.
The comedy comes in with his best friend Kyle, who is played by the one and only, Seth Rogen. The comical jokes Kyle makes lightens up the movie. To get to the point, Adam's life changes forever when he discovers he has cancer. He goes through multiple diagnosis, chemotherapy and counseling sessions, and a life or death surgery. We root for Adam not only because he is the center of the film, but because we realize how fragile the difference is between being here one day and gone the next.
If you're looking to watch a movie that has some true value to it or one that is up for Golden Globe Awards, come see 50/50, presented by CAB, at the IMU this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 10pm up in the Illinois Room on the third floor! Only $2! Enjoy the movie!!

Real World: Frank Sweeney by Jamie Scott
Seven strangers (sometimes 8) picked to live in a house, and have their lives taped.
Sounds fun right? Well, most of us haven’t experienced the craziness that is shown in the MTV reality show “The Real World” but this Thursday, January 26th you will get your chance to see what it’s really like in the infamous Real World house. Frank Sweeney from The Real World San Diego will be at the University of Iowa for a Q & A session put on by the spectacular kids over at the Campus Activities Board.
Ask him what it’s like to live with seven strangers or the question I’ll be asking, “How the heck can you stand being filmed 24/7?” Bring your friends! Bring your questions! Bring your butt to the Papa John Building this Thursday at 10pm in Room 151.
